The aim of the new SMR Business Intelligence team is to deliver business value by providing insights to business users within a short time frame. This objective will require modernised data architecture and a good understanding of our data domains. The team will shift its focus from tools and technology to understanding the business questions that need to be answered, and the data required to answer them. We are now recruiting for a Data Custodian (P2) - for a permanent role in our Dublin Office.

JOB PURPOSE

The purpose of the Data Custodian role is to help the organisation achieve its information and data quality objectives through central monitoring and reporting of key information objects.

Main responsibilities

  • Connect with information owners to understand the metrics required for data quality
  • Measure and report on key data quality metrics as defined by information owners
  • Connect with data owners to help them understand the key metrics and how they can improve their data quality scores
  • Suggest new data quality metrics based on accumulated knowledge of data domains and information owners needs
  • Implement processes, templates, and approval workflows for the maintenance of central reference data
  • Measure and ensure consistency of data elements which exist in multiple information systems
  • Create & maintain central reference data
  • Monitor data creation workflows to ensure there are no exceptional delays in the creation of data
  • Support business with coordination of mass updates on master data objects
  • Identify and suggest improvements to information and data management processes

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate findings
  • Experience in Data Management
  • Knowledge of Master Data concepts and experience of working on SAP MDG / S4 SAP technology
  • Experience in implementing technical solutions to bring insight to data quality
  • 2+ Years of working in Information / Data Management

Education, Licenses & Certificates

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline
