Parts & Services Divisions is now looking for an innovative and committed Application Development Specialist to support our current and growing business in the field of digital mining products. The role will be based in Tampere, Finland.

Your mission

As Application Development Specialist, you will be responsible for data engineering, developing data backend for report solutions and business insights as part of the team for our internal and external stakeholders with the latest Azure and desktop technologies. Your responsibilities will include the third line support and maintaining the applications developed for processing data of machine condition collected from Sandvik machines at customer sites.

You will work in co-operation with several internal and external stakeholders such as our customers, Business Support team, front line sales representatives, R&D, production, IT and field service teams.

Your character

You have a degree or relevant working experience in the field of Computer Science and Information Technology with at least three years’ experience in working with server/client web-based applications development and SQL data bases. You feel comfortable writing C# code and have in-depth knowledge of data capture management practices and supporting systems. You have good hands-on knowledge of Azure services (e.g. IoT Hub, Stream Analytic, Azure Functions, Web Jobs, Data Factory, Analysis Services, Power Bi, Machine learning), and IT and data networking technologies. Knowledge of front end technologies is a bonus.

You are pro-active, self-motivated and independent team player with excellent networking and customer relationship skills. You are an entrepreneur by nature with a strong customer service focus and you can develop knowledge of customer business processes. You are a good communicator with excellent written and verbal English language skills. Your knowledge of the Mining Aftermarket business is regarded as a merit.
