Within the Business Unit (BU) Mobile Crushing & Screening, we deliver crushing and screening equipment engineered for maximum productivity and flexibility to a broad group of customer segments. Our comprehensive lifecycle offer assures customers’ ownership experience is optimized to be safe and financially efficient. We are now looking for an Inventory Planner. This position is based in Ballygawley, Co Tyrone, Northern Ireland.



About the role

Reporting to the Logistics Manager the Inventory Planner will be responsible for all strategic stock holding and managing the inventory for Production build flexibility, whilst working to minimise the impact of supply chain delays and strategically stocking AFM items to support customer demand.

As part of the Inventory Planner position you will be responsible for stock, goods in transit, and production setting for standard assortment in the stockrooms under your responsibility. A key area of accountability is the analysis and maintenance of inventory parameters and responding to strategic stock levels in the warehouses you will be accountable for. You will ensure communication & coordination with relevant stakeholders regarding any improvement activities related to inventory control. You will also be responsible for the analysis and driving of stock optimisation initiatives (i.e. Returns process) on a regular basis. The successful Inventory Planner will participate and support regional/global initiatives and projects throughout Sandvik as needed. Regular analysis and maintenance of inventory parameters is crucial in this role, whilst ensuring stock counting is in line with logistics processes, this will include being responsible for managing all strategic stock levels, ensuring inventory supports the AFM strategy and permits flexibility of machine build whilst minimising impact of Supply challenges. Critical to this position is the management of all slow-moving inventory, identification of provisions required and any improvement activities to prevent. The Inventory Planner is responsible for driving stock optimisation initiatives and will participate in any local/global projects.

Essential Criteria

  • Demonstratable experience in a logistics/inventory environment
  • Demonstratable experience in process development & implementation
  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills to achieve results
  • Fully proficient in Microsoft applications or equivalent
