About the job

You’ll be joining a company that has set the foundation for growth, and you’ll lead our brand-new Employee Experience function, with the goal of taking our employee journey to a new level through cross-functional collaboration and a holistic view. Although your main focus area is talent acquisition, you take the overall responsibility for the whole function – including talent management, succession planning, learning & development, employee engagement, diversity & inclusion and performance management.

Together with our divisions, you combine these topics with people analytics and engagement data to produce robust analysis and set the direction and make roadmaps for SMS in the journey towards an even more employee centric organization. Together with your team of HR professionals across our businesses, you continue to drive improvement to take us to the next level, and constantly respond to changing business needs.


You oversee strategic planning and design of our employer branding and onboarding programs, as well as talent pooling, sourcing, assessment, and selection – ensuring that everything we do supports the company strategy. You lead and take part in expertise forums, both on business area and group level. Keeping up with market trends and best practices in the area of employee experience and talent acquisition is important, and you share your knowledge and insights with stakeholders at all levels.
You report to, and act in close collaboration with SMS Vice President & Head of Human Resources, and you’re a valued member of the SMS HR Management team. The location for this role is flexible preferably within Europe. Since we’re a global business, travel will be a natural part of the role, as well as efficient digital collaboration across time zones.

Your profile
We’re looking for someone with extensive experience from working as an HR leader and with in-depth knowledge in the area of ​​talent acquisition or other relevant field. You’ve been working both strategically and operationally in a global environment and are experienced in managing projects and driving change. You’re used to navigating in a decentralized organization with cross-functional collaborations and close contact with managers and HR. You’re also comfortable in presenting to stakeholders on all levels, including Executive Management. We expect an interest in new digital solutions and good knowledge of Office 365, while experience from using Workday are advantageous. As we act in a global setting, you must be fluent in English, verbally and in writing.
You’re characterized by a structured, pragmatic and innovative way of working, and you capture opportunities without losing track of our direction. With a strategic and holistic view, you respond timely on business requirements and act on both urgent, short-term and long-term objectives. In all of your work, you rely on strong stakeholder management and great collaborations, and you empower people to find efficient solutions, look at new perspectives and share best practices.
