Country Finance team is currently looking for a Treasury Controller with good communication and co-operation skills to strengthen our ability to provide professional support to divisions at present in Finland. The position is permanent, full-time and located at our site in Myllypuro, Tampere, Finland.
About your role
As Treasury Controller, you are responsible for Foreign Exchange risk management. You will manage and mitigate the foreign exchange balance sheet exposures and analyse and report the entity and divisional P&L foreign exchange gains and losses on a monthly basis. You are responsible to review and update Treasury Controls under Country Finance responsible area to align with new Treasury processes. You will manage SMC Oy´s bank accounts and risks associated with cash movements in company (e.g. maintain bank mandates and Bank Account Master, ensure all approvals via secure portals, etc). Cash flow forecasting is also under your responsibility area. You are willing to learn and grow, especially in the financial reporting area.
In this role you will develop hedge pre and after analyses and reporting. You are the key stakeholder against the business to improve balance sheet exposure forecast. You work in close cooperation with other stakeholders such as Group Treasury and business controllers. You report to the Finance Manager of the legal entity.
About you and your background
You possess a degree in economics and business administration and have experience in an international company in treasury, finance and reporting area. Your previous experience within the mining and/or construction industry and its business processes will be highly appreciated. An understanding of project management is seen as an advantage.
You are highly organized and have excellent analyzing, problem-solving and partnering skills. Working with continuous improvements is a natural part of your character. Good communication skills both in English and Finnish are required. You have a high level of computer proficiency, especially in Excel.
You are flexible, react well to change, and remain calm in the face of challenges. Good interpersonal skills, proactive and forward-looking mindset, an ability to prioritize as well as to keep deadlines despite a temporarily high workload are also essential.
