Key Performance Areas


The Business Analyst is responsible for performing prescribed and ad hoc financial analysis on operating results; build efficiencies in our reporting efforts through Business Warehouse queries, Business Objects, and Power BI Reports; Performing reconciliations and analysis between Business Warehouse &/or Business Objects to source system data to ensure data integrity; Contributing to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close efforts, and engaging with stakeholders in the creation of budgets and forecasts, as directed by the Director of Finance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Analyzes financial data and extracts and defines relevant information; interprets data for the purpose to determining past financial performance and/or project a financial probability
  • Enhance and develop FP&A reporting dashboards and metrics
  • Provide finance support, including forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variations from budget.
  • Analyze and prepare statutory accounts, financial statements, and reports
  • Interpret financial transactions and events for users who will make economic or business decisions

Other Responsibilities

  • Perform general accounting activities, including preparation/maintenance/reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements (e.g. balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, capital expenditure schedules)
  • Prepare, record, analyze, and reports accounting transactions

Qualification Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily during a 90-day probationary period. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree with 5 years related work experience. Financial analysis, internal control, and experience with different data mining tools and data analytics (Business Objects & Power BI is preferred.

Language Skills

Ability to speak read and write English fluently. Additional language skill in Spanish preferred. Ability to read and interpret documents such as government regulations, safety rules, procedures manuals, operating and maintenance instructions. Strong ability to communicate with customers and employees through email, phone, and videoconferencing software (example Teams and Skype). Ability to write, maintain, and modify technical documents; such as work instructions, procedures, and department manuals.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest or sales tax, commissions, and to conduct trend analysis. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
