AP&AR Sepcialist

The position would directly report to Manager of FSSC, below please refer to the job description:

  • To provide efficient handling of Accounts Payable or Receivable activities.
  • To ensure compliance with local legislation and Sandvik processes and regulations in the Accounts Payable or Receivable area.
  • To develop the ways of working in the Accounts Payable or Receivable area.

Key performance area:

  • As part of the SMT Country finance shared service team and key contributor of the team, commence to supervise the daily operations within accounts payable and accounts receivables service areas under manager’s guidance, include but not limited to:
  • Support business with regards to changes in vendor master data
  • Support in relation to escalated invoice mismatches
  • VAT-Input certification
  • Issue Debit note and Credit note in the Sopic according to company policy
  • Issue all the inv-Support business with regards to change in vendor master data
  • Create payment proposal and review
  • Support issue resolution in relation to vendor payments and send reclamations/requests for credit notes
  • Communicate decision to close AP and validate and approve AP accrual suggestions
  • Support intercompany reconciliation
  • Pass on received information to Service Provider
  • Receive paper invoices and .pdf invoices, add information required based on local regulations and send back incorrect invoices
  • Perform general accounting activities, focusing on the monthly closings, balance sheet reconciliation, analyze numbers and prepare reports for accounting transactions.
  • Collaborate closely with all parts of the organization, engage in developing processes and common tools.
  • Further, function as back-up for other roles within the finance organization and contribute in selected internal development projects.
  • Cooperate with internal & external auditing & inspection especially SAFE & Tax
  • Vouchers and other documents filling
  • Provide accurate and timely information to ensure integrity and compliance
  • Project support
  • Further, function as back-up for other roles within the finance organization and contribute in selected internal development projects.
  • Other tasks by manager

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or Accounting from full-time university.
  • Documented experience of accounting with specific experience in AR or AP.
  • At least 1year work experience of accounting in multinational company.
  • Organizational and leadership.
  • Well documented and proven knowledge of transactional finance. Up to date knowledge of the GA process and preferably one of the AP&AR or treasury process. Excellent knowledge of at least one finance system used within the country/area. Service minded with good ability to create relations.
  • Fluent in English and local language (speaking and writing).
  • Knowledge of IFRS a plus.
  • Accounting certification would be preferred.

As a person you are proactive, self-motivated and one with lot of initiative, courage and integrity and a business minded, result oriented attitude. You also have strong communication skills and can work in an English environment.
