Sandvik Materials Technology (SMT) EMEA AB is the invoicing company of Sandvik Materials Technology within sales area EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa). The company supports the sales organization in the daily work, continually developing and striving towards common best practices for the Group.

We are now looking for a Credit Manager to join our team in Stockholm – someone who finds inspiration in the opportunity to work in an international and dynamic setting where you take responsibility for, and control of, your own job.

Job Summary

As Credit Manager, you are responsible for a team consisting of AR Accountants and Credit Controllers, reporting to the Site Manager. You are responsible for efficiently organizing, planning and allocating work within the team, ensuring high quality performance and service being provided to internal and external customers. You are the process and policy owner for Accounts Receivable and Credit Control, with the aim to continuously develop and improve processes and policies as well as ensure these are correctly implemented, reported and adhere to company policies and procedures.

During month end closings you are responsible for ensuring that Accounts Receivable closing procedures are completed efficiently, timely and accurately and that overdue and doubtful accounts are correctly booked and/ or reported. It is your responsibility to communicate monthly results, risks/ issues and other important information to Business organization and other Finance Managers, as well as continuously work for a great cooperation with other stakeholders.

You will also work operationally in daily operations and from time to time lead or participate in various projects within the company, e.g. change of ERP system and internal controls implementation.

We are looking for someone with a degree in Finance or Business and a minimum two years’ experience from similar role. You have a proven track record from successfully leading teams and managing stakeholders. It is advantageous if you know your way around trade finance and have worked in a medium sized or large company. You are a skilled user of MS Excel and experience from working in SAP or other financial systems is beneficial. As we operate in an international setting, your communication skills in English are excellent, both verbally and in writing, while skills in other languages are highly valued.

As a team manager you have great communication skills, you easily build and maintain productive relations and you strive to foster an improvement and customer-focused environment. You have the ability to adjust your leadership depending on the situation, communicate clearly and make decisions when required. To multi-task in a sometimes fast-paced environment and pay attention to detail, while still keeping an eye on the bigger picture is not a problem for you. You are also a talented organizer, show good problem-analysis and problem-solving skills. To deliver great results and service is something you value highly.
