We are looking for a dynamic and results-orientated business controller to join our team!

Key performance areas

As the Business Controller, you will contribute to reaching the overall operational and financial goals for the Sales Cluster. You work in close cooperation with our Sales Manager and the Sales Team to support with business analysis and ensuring execution of key activities.

Key activities and responsibilities

In this role you work closely to the Sales Manager and Management team in US West. You ensure that the team is taking decisions and drive performance based on financial and operational data. Among your responsibilities are to analyze the performance, including both sales and costs, on total and customer level. Based on this, you make proactive suggestions for improvements. This is done every day, with extra focus at the end of each month and in our financial forecasts. You take the lead in our monthly performance management process where we evaluate progress and deviations to plan. You are also a key person in the follow-up of results and activities in our Local Business Plan, which is the foundation for our strategy and resource planning. You coordinate your quarterly forecasts and make sure that the ambitions are founded in a sound macroeconomic assessment as well as supported by concrete sales plans.

You work together with colleagues to develop business cases as needed for both investments, customer cases and initiatives to be more efficient.

In this exciting role, you combine an interest in business with solid finance skills. You are able to balance a role where you must be both supporting and when needed challenge your colleagues and manager with integrity and in a constructive way. Although this role is located in the West region in the US, your contacts can regularly also be cross-Americas, ranging from Brazil to Canada. Cultural differences and different perspectives in ways of working is therefore something you are at ease with. You are analytical but can also communicate your findings in a clear and understandable way. One example is in connecting our operational activities and targets and how they translate into financial results. Your mindset is proactive and forward-looking, and you focus on solutions and regularly suggest improvements based on what you see and learn. You are self-propelling with the ability to prioritize when needed.

Profile

You possess a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business Administration or equivalent. We believe you have at least 2 to 3 years of Business Controlling or similar experience in a manufacturing environment. You have an excellent understanding of financial processes, reporting, and accounting, and a high level of computer proficiency, especially in Excel and PowerPoint. You are highly organized, strongly analytical, and have a keen attention to detail and ability to question the facts. Working with continuous improvements is a natural part of your character and you feel comfortable searching for information, identifying small and large solutions, and challenging the norm. You are flexible, react well to change, and remain calm in the face of challenges.
