Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology (SMRT) is a business area within Sandvik Group and a leading global supplier of equipment and tools, service and technical solutions for the mining and construction industries. The offering covers rock drilling, rock cutting, rock crushing, loading and hauling. Sandvik’s Tampere plant is a global technology and manufacturing center for mining equipment. Site Business Control team is now looking for an analytical and skilled Controller. This is a permanent position and based in Tampere.
As a Controller, you are key contributor in the month end closing and quarterly rolling forecast process of Tampere Site. You develop and implement Supply related KPIs and reporting processes & tools together with Supply Management. You ensure the inventory is correctly valuated and allocated between SMRT Business Units as well as the stock take is done according to Sandvik policies and guidelines.
Your skills and qualifications
You have a suitable degree in Finance/Industrial Engineering & Management (preferably Master’s) with strong IT acumen. You have at least 4-5 years experience in Controlling, Accounting, Reporting/Forecasting. Advanced Excel skills as well as deep understanding of ERP systems (Lean system, MS Dynamics 365) are essential. Knowledge of local GAAP and/or IFRS and experience of finance system related development projects is considered as an asset.
Your way of working is proactive, systematic and efficient and you are able to understand the context and the big picture. Our ideal candidate is a service-minded team player with flexible and can do attitude. Good communication (fluent in Finnish and English) and strong interpersonal skills as well as the ability to prioritize and keep deadlines are also essential.
