Documentation Specialist

Sandvik Construction, Attachment Tools Division (ATD) develops, manufactures, and sells hydraulic hammers and other hydraulic attachments for the construction and mining industries. We are looking for a Documentation Specialist to produce technical end-user documentation for our products. The position is permanent and located in Lahti, Finland.

Your role

As a Documentation Specialist, you are responsible for the production of high-quality technical product documentation. You will work closely with ATD R&D and Documentation teams to develop, write, and maintain compliant, user- and customer-oriented technical product manuals, bulletins, and other types of information for use. You will also participate in the continuous improvement, development, and maintenance of documentation processes, guidelines, and tools.

Your background and what we find important

In this role, experience or competence in both technical writing and the products (hydraulic hammers and demolition tools) is desired. You are familiar with current documentation tools and concepts, such as structured and modular documentation, markup languages, and single sourcing. You are also competent in creating graphics and have used various vector graphics and CAD software tools.

Excellent written and verbal skills in English and Finnish are required. You are organized and process-oriented, have an eye for detail, and possess good interpersonal and communication skills. You also work well independently and are capable of handling multiple projects at a time. A university degree or equivalent and previous work experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment are preferred.
