The Electrical Automation Engineer will provide technical management of the electrical supplier network including input into the electrical and automation feature development. The successful candidate will provide day to day electrical support within a production environment. The position will contribute to the organization with experience and knowledge on an operational level by using suitable methods, tools and processes and will contribute to the overall department/function results by own work and by sharing best practices.

You will be the handling the Technical supplier management for electrical systems and will be providing day to day electrical support to production. You will provide and input into the future electrical and automation strategy and roadmap. You will help to develop Sandvik internal processes to exceed relevant standards, codes and best practice. You will have the ability to make informed decisions within defined time frame.

This role will involve travel to Sandvik sites worldwide, with occasional attendance at exhibitions, trade shows and test sites when necessary.

Essential Criteria

  • University degree in electrical or automation or equivalent qualifications/experience

  • Proven ability in the use of 400VC and 24VDC systems

  • Proven theoretical and practical foundation within electrical and automation

  • Industrial/mobile electrical and or automation experience

  • Experience in supplier collaboration/co-ordination

Desirable Criteria

  • Wiring schematic experience

  • Experience with mobile machinery drive train systems & engine/generator integration

  • Experience with mobile machinery communication protocols, e.g., CAN/Modbus/Other programming languages
