Technical Documentation Specialist

Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology is a business area within the Sandvik Group and a global leading supplier of equipment and tools, service and technical solutions for the mining and construction industries. Application areas include rock drilling, rock cutting, crushing and screening, loading and hauling, tunneling, quarrying and breaking and demolition.

The Rotary Division in Sandvik Mining & Rotary Drills is looking for a Technical Documentation Specialist to develop, maintain and monitor methods and processes that assure that changes are documented in accordance with for the field, the current directives, regulations, standards and internal instructions. Create and developing processes / solutions that generate structure of the management and administration of the organization’s documentation. Maintain spare part integrity, reviews technical documentation and provides support for continuous product improvement and activities for end-user documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Documentation Specialist maintains spare part integrity, reviews technical documentation and provides support for continuous product improvement activities for end-user documentation.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Creating, reviewing structure and maintain all spare part requirements utilizing Teamcenter’s PLM system for proper content and completeness while adhering to all relevant regulations, standards and rotary drilling guidelines
  • Supporting Technical Services Organization with documentation integrity and feedback handling
  • Supporting the development and maintain Simplified Technical English directory
  • Improve and develop new methods of spare part development, processes and delivery techniques

Your Profile

You have a passion for details and possess excellent organizational skills while also able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. You have excellent written skills in English and understand of Bill of Materials (BOM) and structures and PDM systems. You can easily communicate and work effectively with all stakeholders and your passion inspires us, allowing you to easily lead and mentor less experienced PDM users. You are able to function independently and produce results that meet standards of quality, timeliness and acceptability with minimal supervision and general direction. Possess a BA/BS Degree and 8+ years of related experience in heavy equipment or related industry Or an AA Degree or Vocational Tech Education with 15+ years of related experience in the heavy equipment industry.

Additional requirements:

Proven advanced working experience with Teamcenter or other related PLM systems

Generating and revising parts and assembly structures for heavy equipment (preferred) or related

Reading and interpreting engineering documentation

Advanced working experience with engineering change processes
