Energy and Sustainability Engineer

Key performance areas

The Energy and Sustainability Engineer will provide engineering and project management support to the Maintenance Manager in facility and equipment improvements, reliability and sustainability initiatives, energy management, and continuous improvement efforts.

Additionally, The Energy and Sustainability Engineer will:

-Identify and manage projects and strategies involving emerging technologies related to energy, sustainability, and reliability.

-Develop and present business cases for various energy, sustainability, and reliability initiatives.
-Assist in the implementation and management of digital solutions (IoT, Industry 4.0, digital dashboards, etc.) for measurement, calculation, and reporting of performance indicators.
-Assist in the implementation, improvement, and management of the Building Management System (BMS).
-Support Maintenance and Production departments in the installation and implementation of technology, automation, and equipment improvements
-Support reliability improvement efforts including condition-based and predictive maintenance, failure analysis, tracking and reporting, etc.
-Assist in the management of facility improvement projects (construction, remodeling, HVAC, installation, utility improvements, etc.).
-Manage contractors and vendors involved in various projects.
-Produce or modify necessary drawings to support various projects.

-Provide engineering support to other aspects of the Maintenance Department as needed (technical troubleshooting, design, problem solving, etc.).

Your profile

-Competency in manipulation/analysis of data, project management, energy management, and building systems is required. Experience with sustainability, reliability initiatives, Building Management/Automation Systems, Microsoft Office 365 and Power BI is preferred.

-A minimum of 3 years of related engineering experience with a background in sustainability and project management is required. Experience with building management systems, energy management, reliability improvement and digital solutions is preferred.

-4-Year Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required
