At Sandvik, we always strive to be more efficient and invest in our long-term success. Today, new technology paves the way for exciting new products and methods, as well as for new business opportunities within manufacturing. Digitalization has the potential to unlock significant value by enabling improved planning, more efficient operations, and real time process optimization. Our vision is to become the industry leader and be the preferred partner to increase safety, productivity and overall efficiency in customer operations using digital technologies.

The Cybersecurity team reports directly to the management team within Sandvik Infrastructure and Technology Services and is one of the keys in analyzing future trends and enabling a risk aware and secure journey into new technology areas and business opportunities. To strengthen this team, we’re now looking for two Cybersecurity Architects who understands the vulnerabilities and stay at least one step ahead as we build our digital defense.

In this position, it’s possible to be based in either Sandviken or Stockholm.

Your challenge

As Cybersecurity Architect within Sandvik, you’re part of a global industrial company that is passionate about the opportunities the digitalization brings to manufacturing – both in regard to production and to the actual products. This is also a company that invests heavily in R&D and owns approximately 7 300 patents. No wonder we’re serious about Cybersecurity.
In this position, you’re the trusted architect that brings Cybersecurity engineering and advisory services to Sandvik’s entities globally, prioritizing enterprise initiatives to build towards an intelligence-driven organization. Together with the team, you ensure that we manage, design, and implement security practices, processes, and technologies. By doing this, we mitigate the risks arising from the use, process, storage, and transmission of information used in industrial infrastructures and organizations – from a people, process, and technology perspective. Your mission also includes performing end-to-end application security reviews, identifying vulnerabilities and risks, developing mitigation plans and evaluating security tools and services.

Your profile

To easily adapt to the fast and constant-changing nature of this field, you need to have a broad background in IT and a genuine interest in Cybersecurity. We consider it advantageous if you have experience from providing technical leadership in IT architecture in previous assignments, and naturally, it’s an extra merit if you’ve acted in a cybersecurity role and hold a security certification for cyber defense. More important, the wideness of your IT competence will make a true difference, as you need to keep the bigger picture in mind at all times. Also, you need to understand how to adapt to international differences in security regulations and cultures. As we act in a truly global setting, your communication skills in English need to be excellent, while skills in Swedish are nice to have.

We place great value in your passion and personality, mainly characterized by your curiosity and proactive mindset that quickly enables you to identify opportunities. You have a pragmatic way of working, and with self-awareness and confidence, you challenge conventional views of problem solving. You’re also a master in explaining complex concepts in a way that creates trust and engagement, and as a great team player, you really thrive when working in a sharing environment where everyone contributes to a successful delivery.

At Sandvik, we believe that diversity of experience, perspective and background leads to a better environment for our employees, our business and our customers. We look forward to meeting you!
