Do you want to take on a broad role within communications and contribute to delivering great results? You’ll be part of further leveraging Sandvik’s position as the market leader in our industries and supporting our journey to make the shift, advancing the world through engineering. Join our Group Communications department and work with the mission to leverage commitment and engagement for our global businesses through excellent corporate communication planning and activities.

With us, you’ll build yourself a solid base within communications and get the opportunity to further develop within the field.

About the job

As you take place in the center of our Group Communications department, reporting directly to the Executive VP and Head of Group Communications, you enjoy exciting and sometimes fast-changing workdays. Working with a broad mix of communication tasks, you’re involved in everything from content work and storytelling to campaigns, events, community involvement projects, internal communication, brand building activities, PR, web, social media etc.

Your own delivery includes taking an active part in creating communication material, planning and supporting projects, and providing various administrative support for our function. You work with copywriting, graphic design, presentations, meeting and event arrangements, publishing and more – which calls for excellent skills in driving and completing work and projects of your own. In close collaboration with the department management, project leaders and other stakeholders you develop action plans and proactively carry out activities and tasks to ensure project progress as needed.

With your proactive and structured ways, you aid in the development and planning of the work within our function, as well as in further developing Sandvik’s overall internal and external communication strategy. You also support us in creating effective structures for communication (channels, ways of communicating and frequency).

You’re based at our headquarters in central Stockholm, and some travel is included during normal circumstances.

Your character

We’re looking for a communicator with broad skills, including a talent for administration and competence in project management. You have a relevant university degree in communications or marketing – or equivalent knowledge gained from a working career. As we work in a global setting, you need excellent verbal and written English skills, while other languages are a plus.

Your personal qualities are key in this role, characterized by a strong social confidence and a structured and business-oriented mind. You also have the ability and flexibility to switch between different ongoing projects and can easily process different perspectives. You act with integrity, are calm and systematic in your work, and with an eye for details as you produce well-made texts and other communications material – both independently and in collaboration with others. You have a positive mindset and very strong networking skills.

Our Sandvik culture
