In this position you will contribute to creating an understanding, engagement and pride around our brand and company direction so that we are perceived by current and future employees, customers, partners and owners as the leader in our industry. This position encompasses two scopes: responsible for developing and executing on the global PR strategy for Sandvik Coromant securing a strong brand image for external stakeholders, e.g. society, media, industry, future employees; but also, a local scope to implement the strategy in Sales Area Americas.
In this role you would be responsible for
Ensuring that our brand and company direction are carried forward with a clear and consistent voice through PR activities and platforms that showcase our brand position in the minds of customers, talent, and external stakeholders.
Global social media strategy and execution of the global social media accounts.
Proactively seek opportunities to promote Sandvik Coromant leaders and prepare media briefings for spokespeople.
Managing media training and prepares spokespersons for press conferences, round table events, seminars and forums, media interviews, and speeches.
Proactively working with agencies and freelance writers to manage the pipeline, development and posting of PR content.
Ensuring cooperation and alignment with the other PR Specialists and Internal Communication Specialists to find synergies in the different Sales Areas and to ensure an integrated corporate communication approach.
Using a good PR mix of traditional and new opportunities, e.g. press releases, technical content, web news, roundtable, panel discussions, keynote speaking opportunities and also through social media, influencers etc.
Writing news/press releases and other content for feature articles, writing speeches for company leaders.
Working with image creation for media use: photographs, films, multimedia programs, infographics.
Ensuring the PR aspect of a potential crisis is managed and contributes to a structured approach of following-up ROI on the PR coverage.
In this role you will be advising, supporting and executing on PR opportunities in the Sales Area Americas in line with the global PR plan. In the Sales Area you will be responsible for execution of the global PR content that is appropriate for the local sales area and for creating content that fills in the gaps to meet sales area objectives together with the Marketing Manager.
An important part of the job is also to generate measurable result from PR activities in selected channels by defining and aligning PR objectives with business goals, measure and follow-up. Provide reports on a regular basis. You will develop the PR presence with current and new media players to improve reach and brand awareness. You will educate in how to use social media to improve reach, brand awareness and engagement. You are a role model when it comes to PR related questions and you are the Sales Area contact person and coordinate activities together with the PR agencies, freelancers and the global PR team.
At least 5 years’ experience in PR in an international environment with a strong track record in delivering results and driving change. You demonstrate strong PR skills, on strategic as well as operative level.
A Degree in Communication, Journalism, Marketing or equivalent.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to speak and listen, as well as clearly express ideas. You are an excellent writer.
Experience working innovatively with traditional and new channels.
A good understanding and knowledge of managing a budget and awareness of working cost efficiently. You are result oriented with quality focus in deliveries and securing deadlines are met. You can act independently with own drive in order to engage others.
