To the division Rock Tools we’re now looking for an Operational Excellence Manager to join us when we’re now extending our Global Operations Management team. Your mission

In this position, you drive operational excellence by linking strategy to execution across the Global Operations sites and function – leading to higher value realization of opportunities in our business. You drive manufacturing strategy work in close collaboration with Product Lines and Production Units and adjust the recommendations based on market conditions and altered Rock Tools and Global Operations Strategies.

Included in your mission is:

  • Establishing and maintaining a prioritized execution plan for operational excellence items – focusing on areas that benefit from knowledge exchange and standardization between entities.

  • Enhancing the capability to give support and guidance to leaders throughout the organization in operational excellence matters.

  • Translating complexity into analyzable facts and figures, understandable scenarios, and actionable recommendations on a strategic, tactical and operational level.

  • Developing common standards and share best practices based on business needs cross entities in Global Operations to secure process compliance. You drive development projects with clear business cases to boost performance cross production units.

  • Governing input and output to selected key processes, analyzing data and develop conclusive reports and recommendations.

  • Driving actions as decided in process forums where applicable.

  • Ensuring that our best knowledge and solutions are shared, and that common improvement initiatives and standards are prioritized and focused.

The location for this position is Sandviken or Stockholm and some travel is included in the job.

Your character

We’re looking for someone with a university degree within relevant specializations in supply chain, business or engineering combined with several years of experience from relevant roles. Your background is formed within Manufacturing or Supply Chain Management, and you have a profound understanding of what operational excellence looks like and how to achieve it. Experience in Lean or Six Sigma is considered an extra plus. As we’re a global organization, excellent English skills, both written and verbal, is required, while knowledge in Swedish is a plus.

Your personal qualities are important for us, and this position calls for strong communication and stakeholder management skills. You’re also determined and pedagogical and have a high level of strategic thinking coupled with the ability to break down complex areas and turn them into clear roadmaps and actions – striking the perfect balance between your analytical mindset and power of initiative. You’re equally involved in recommending the strategy to the management team as being part of executing the initiatives needed to realize the value. You’re curious and willing to learn, understand the benefits of digitalization and automation, and you’re comfortable building the bridge between ways of working and standard processes supported by technology.
