Kanthal, a division within Sandvik Materials Technology, is now looking for an experienced and business-oriented person to join our strategy and M&A function as Project Manager. In this position, you support the Kanthal growth agenda by identifying, analyzing and evaluating possible targets, as well as advise on what initiatives and themes we should prioritize to keep momentum and quality in our strategic plans. Together with the team, you ensure success throughout the entire M&A process - from scouting, due diligence, target setting, negotiation, deal closing and follow up - and you put the spotlight on revenue, profitability and tactical performance.
In close collaboration with the Kanthal Management, functional experts, deal executives, advisors and various key stakeholders, you handle financial modeling, deal structuring and valuation as a “project manager” to ensure a comprehensive and speedy approach for each agreement - including oversight of workstreams and tasks - to achieve the best results. In addition to the M&A work you will participate in the strategy development through servicing our business units in their planning. Together with the team and internal stakeholders from around the world you support the annual strategy development cycle as well as manage ad-hoc strategy and business development projects.
In this position, you report to the Head of Strategy and M&A for Kanthal. The position will also require occasional traveling to e.g., U.S., Europe and Asia, depending on project.
We’re looking for someone with a university degree within Industrial Engineering and Management, Finance or Business Administration. In addition to your education, you have around 5 years’ work experience from a similar role within the manufacturing industry, top tier management consultancy or investment firm. This includes a solid track record of driving transactions, corporate valuations, as well as project proven leadership capabilities. This role requires you to work in a global setting so excellent English skills is a must, while knowledge of Swedish is beneficial.
Your strategic mindset combined with your analytical features enables you to easy spot the details we need to move forward. You have good stakeholder management and communication skills and know how to interact with large group of stakeholders of different backgrounds and opinions. This position is preferably based in Hallstahammar, Sweden with the possibility to work part of the time remotely.
