Sandvik Mining & Rock Solutions is looking for an Administrative Assistant (Temporary) for the Procurement Team in Alachua, FL.

Key Responsibilities

The Administrative Assistant for the Procurement Department will be responsible for:

  • Performing routine administrative activities according to the organization's established procedures for the department
  • Entering information accurately into documents such as reports, presentations, or forms; and maintaining office systems such as databases or spreadsheets.
  • Coding and sorting documents so they can be accurately processed or filed.
  • Making standard calculations to accurately compile and report statistics.
  • Responding to routine inquiries from external or internal sources about the organization, its activities, or processes so callers/visitors are answered promptly and accurately.

To be successful in this role you’ll need:

  • Strong 10 key data entry and typing skills; Microsoft Office Suite knowledge and experience
  • Excellent customer service skills – being able to make calls/contact customers and vendors and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Solid communication – verbal and written as well as time management skills
  • Be a self-starter and have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction
  • Experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial company a plus

*This is a temporary 6-month contract project with the possibility of extension.
