Production Technology Manager for Top Hammer

Your mission
In this role, you're responsible for the machine technology development of our existing production in terms of productivity, availability, capacity, safety, and quality. Digitalization is high up on our agenda, and you drive the development of our manufacturing processes towards a high degree of automation. You lead and develop our technology team, and in collaboration with research, product management, and global production development, you introduce new technologies that enhance performance and competitiveness.
Key parts of your mission are to implement a comprehensive technical strategy that supports our business strategy, identify technical needs and opportunities in collaboration with other departments, and create investment strategies based on existing machinery and planned product strategy. Additionally, you develop methods and routines for the department and participate in product projects and product steering groups.
You’re based at our production site in Sandviken, Sweden.
Your profile
We’re looking for a leader with a master's degree in engineering or a related field, along with previous work experience that includes leadership experience with budget responsibility, knowledge in LEAN/WCM/TPM and improvement methods, and familiarity with mechanical engineering and industrial economics, as well as modern maintenance methods. Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills, with documented ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams, are essential. Experience or knowledge in processes such as machining, heat treatment, friction welding, and automation, and previous experience in our specific industry, is advantageous. As we work locally and globally, you need to master both the Swedish and English language.
We highly value your personal qualities, characterized by strong problem-solving skills and an analytical toolbox. You effectively interact with other teams and guide the way forward with multiple organizational counterparts. Experience, knowledge, interest, and drive to take on the digitalization of your area of operations and create conditions for data-driven improvement work are key traits to thrive in this role. With your good collaboration and initiative skills, you can lead, motivate, and inspire employees, and your leadership includes setting, communicating, and following up on clear goals.
