Decentralized organization with clear governance

Sandvik has a decentralized organization. Operations are conducted in four business areas, each of them having several divisions with responsibility for research and development (R&D), production and sales of their respective products and services. The nature of each business decides, for example, production set-up and go-to-market strategy.

An established governance framework including Group policies, Group procedures and other steering documentation governs the way we conduct our business. The whole organization shares the same purpose and values.
