We are now recruiting for a Permanent Outbound Planner (Hybrid) based in our Dublin office.

Job Title: Outbound Planner

Job Purpose

Outbound Planners manages all activities for the customer. This includes managing internal customer and supplier relationships, order flow, and all other requests from the customer. Outbound Planners are responsible daily and monthly KPIs with a focus on continuous improvement. This a customer focused role.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily management of orders, managing stock orders that do not process automatically, and expediting non-stocked items to meet customer orders.
  • Resolve daily issues related to processing orders (e.g., suspended, superseded, address issues, or items held due to process restrictions).
  • Manage all requests and complaints daily through the workflow system.
  • Manage logistics performance KPIs to the customer, including monthly meetings to review performance, data analysis on customer issues, and acting as the backline representative for all supply chain issues into the sales areas.
  • Regular review of systems issues related to outbound orders (e.g., lost inbound orders, customer maintenance, or resolving system misalignments).

Activities:

  • Daily release of customer orders, including the management of auto, mass, and manual release orders.
  • Daily review of suspended orders and execute cancellation of orders based on customer requests.
  • Work with Inventory, Purchasing, or Warehouse teams to source items.
  • Resolve order issues like incorrect addresses, shipping instructions, documents requirements and other freight related challenges.
  • Order Aging Management:
  • Resolve any allocation problems daily, specifically suspended orders or cycle count problems.
  • Daily review and resolution of outstanding orders where source change is required.
  • Review and resolve LPS tickets relating to expediting of orders, shipment discrepancies, etc., on a daily basis.
  • Review Unit Down Orders and expedite accordingly daily.
  • Regular communication to internal/external customers regarding progress on all open orders.

Your profile

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position in Warehousing/Distribution/Supply Chain environment.
  • Experience in managing internal and/or external customer accounts.
  • Focused on achieving Teams and Organizational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Good working knowledge of International Trade and Freight processes.
  • Prior exposure to ERP and data warehouse systems required. SAP S4 Hanna an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office and Power Bi.
  • Proven ability to work efficiently within a Distribution Service environment and complete duties in an autonomous manner.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate, liaise and negotiate with a range of stakeholders.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Strong and proven focus on business and process improvement.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Able to adapt to change.
  • Lateral thinker and problem solver.
