Sandvik Mining is a global leader in equipment, tools, parts, service, and technical solutions for the mining and construction industries—and we’re seeking a Field Service Lead to support our service operations in Elko, NV.

JOB PURPOSE

  • The Field Service Lead is responsible for ensuring efficient and effective maintenance of the customer’s fleet of equipment in accordance with OEM specifications and local policies. The Field Service Lead works closely with the customer to identify and meet the customer’s expectations and defined scope. They manage the workforce, safety plan, equipment base, adherence to safety standards and ensures they are consistent with the customer and Sandvik policies.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inspect equipment for proper performance and determines faults and malfunctions

  • Adjust equipment and repair/replace defective parts components or systems according to scopes of work

  • Tests repaired equipment to ensure proper operational performance

  • Complete accurate time records, technical reports, failure reports, and parts lists

  • Mentor and train more junior Field Service Technicians.

The Field Service Lead will spend their time working underground and surface, so candidates must be comfortable with these conditions. As this role requires approximately 25% travel, you will be provided with a company vehicle.

  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives

  • Stay current with the industry, customer, product developments and technical best practices Customer Service

  • Build strong relationships with internal and external customers to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction

  • Stay current and in compliance with all Sandvik, Customer, State, and Federal regulatory safety policies.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction within the area of primary responsibility

EXPERIENCE

  • At least five years’ experience in repairing mobile mining heavy equipment.

Work Environment:

This position is based in Elko, NV. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
