We embarked a seven year global Business Transformation program enabled by SAP S/4HANA in January 2021. This is a greenfield implementation for Sandvik, a large Swedish multinational group. Ireland was chosen as the central hub location for this business digitalisation initiative which we call the “Seamless Flow Program”. A second phase of the Program is now starting, with ambition to extend the template to our Sales Units.

We are now recruiting for a Program Manager (M3) (Hybrid) - for a permanent role in our Dublin Office.
JOB PURPOSE
The Program Manager is a senior leadership position within Business Area SMR, which has strong ambition to deliver transformation as defined in the Business Platform Strategy. The role has overall responsibility to establish one overarching program plan for including Seamless Flow, SMART and Service Platform across Business Areas SMR & SRP. This plan and the associated prioritisation structures will support the organisation as a whole to ensure successful delivery of these Programs. Identification of potential blockers and removal of these will be a key success factor for the Programs.
Close alignment across strategic programs (i.e. Seamless Flow, SMART and Service Platform) is critical. The role requires a significant amount of senior stakeholder management within these Programs, with regular upward reporting to the Executive Steering Committee. It is responsible for the oversight of the Programs, raising issues to the Executive Steering Committee for resolution. Identifying issues with prioritisation of resources across the Program teams, SMR IT, the System Integrator (SI) and other third-party vendors will be a key part of the role.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with senior internal and external stakeholders to develop and manage the overall cross-program roadmap
- Establish an integrated governance structure over program plan, resources and conflicts to promote success of large scale Programs
- Establish principles or outcomes that help to drive such governance
- Manage the risks to program delivery through ensuring that appropriate mitigation strategies are in place
- Be proactive in anticipating potential challenges and addressing them
- Work closely with Program Sponsors and senior business stakeholders to secure appropriate and timely business involvement in the program
- Work closely with the Program Managers, IT Project Managers and the SMR IT Delivery organisation to ensure the prioritisation of “on-demand” resources in line with the plan
- Prepare material for information and for decision making at the Executive Steering Committee meetings
- Facilitate the Executive Steering Committee meetings
- Participate at the Executive Steering Committee meetings in accordance with the required cadence
- Collaborate with external partners to develop and embed a set of best practices
- Create an environment that supports continuous connectivity, collaboration and knowledge sharing
Your Profile
You are a highly motivated, delivery focused leader with superb interpersonal skills and a passion for excellence. You have a positive outlook, a can-do attitude and thrive on working in a multi-cultural team. You have a demonstrable ability to collaborate effectively within a multi-line organisation and have highly developed stakeholder management, influencing and negotiating skills. In this regard, you will demonstrate genuine thought leadership to support resolution of challenges impacting people and the organisation. You have experience in running global transformation programs, solving complex challenges, working and supporting large scale Programs. You have exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, and are proficient in the MS Office Suite. You are educated to degree and/or masters level. You have a 10 to 15 years of experience in a senior change role leading complex business and IT projects in large scale and /or multi-national environments. Negotiation skills and experience in decentralised business would be beneficial.
