Sandvik is supporting Earth hour
At Sandvik we are encouraging our colleagues to support Earth Hour by asking them to turn off any non-essential lights, as is safely possible, for one hour on the 25th March 2017, between 8:30 and 9:30 pm.
“Earth Hour is a good initiative and Sandvik supports it with respect for safety concerns and of course the challenges that industry corporations face regarding our sensitive processes," says Christina Båge-Friborg, Head of Sustainable Business. “We are committed to supporting initiatives leading to a better environment which of course have to be executed long-term and globally."
What is Earth Hour?
Earth Hour is an international annual event that encourages individuals, communities, households and businesses across the globe to turn off their non-essential lights for one hour as a symbol of a commitment to the planet.
