Sandvik partners up with KTH

Sandvik and KTH, Royal Institute of Technology, have signed a strategic partnership agreement to create an even stronger relationship regarding research activities.

Sandvik and KTH have a long history of collaboration, which is now being formalized.

"Research and product development are central to secure a strong position for Sandvik as a company. Formalizing the collaboration with KTH is one way to secure our future talent pool of researchers and engineers, to build competence in key technologies and to create a dynamic relationship where both partners will benefit from each other," Olof Faxander, CEO of Sandvik, comments.

Peter Gudmundson, Principal of KTH, adds:

"We have been collaborating with Sandvik for many years. It delights me that we are now formalizing the collaboration by becoming strategic partners. It will be beneficial for both of us in an excellent way."

Among other things, the objective with the partnership is to carry out joint research activities, promote exchange of resources and discuss future educational direction based on jointly defined needs.
